Zachary Thomas has served as the inaugural Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards Fellow since 2018. He is also the Executive Director of Writers in Residence, which he co-founded as an undergraduate at John Carroll University. He earned his bachelor’s in Creative and Professional Writing, and Literature and his master’s in Nonprofit Administration. After more than a decade, he finally calls Cleveland home. When he’s not empowering youth in detention to write, he’s encouraging himself to do the same. His work appears in the John Carroll Review and The Blue Route.
